We are hiring a SOA Operations Specialist for an EU agency in Ispra, Italy and various locations around Europe.

Key Responsibilities

• Cocal/scientific ICT infrastructure management and user support, in particular the T2 HPC platform including liaising with the ICT services, Europol ICT service and other relevant ICT bodies.
• Configuration and change management, documenting and updating network diagrams, configuration data and asset inventories for the scientific ICT infrastructure which includes laboratories, dedicated networks and server rooms as well as information systems.
• Capacity planning, including the forward planning of procurement actions in order to ensure maintenance, upgrade or decommissioning of software and hardware assets according to the present and anticipated service needs.
• Providing support to the scientific activities of the unit on operational cybersecurity aspects and technical tasks. In particular, support to operations of PKI services. The consultant will support the entities’ staff in the planning and coordination of the operation of PKI services. This includes the participation to signing sessions with the status of “trusted actor” which requires a personal security clearance.

Skills

• Very good knowledge of middle-ware systems and related system administration, deployment, maintenance and operation in Windows, Linux and MacOS desktop and server platforms.
• Good knowledge of networking (firewalls, proxies, switches) and storage (SAN) infrastructure.
• Good knowledge of ICT management processes such as change and configuration management, asset inventory management and capacity planning.
• Ability to apply high quality standards
• Ability to cope with fast changing technologies used in cybersecurity systems
• Very good communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences
• Analysis and problem solving skills
• Capability to write clear and structured technical documents
• Ability to participate in technical meetings and good communication skills

Specific Expertise  

• at least 5 years of specific expertise in implementation, maintenance and operation of PKI infrastructures and applications in the road transport domain.
• at least 5 years of specific expertise in implementation, configuration and operation of HSMs of the SafeNet/Gemalto/Thales family
• at least 5 years of specific expertise in maintenance operations (configuration, implementation, deployment, etc.) of IT hardware of data centre (network, computing node, storage , etc.. ) and HPC platform.
