Catering Assistant

Location: NHS Forth Valley
Hours: 20 hours 
Salary: £13.32 per hour

Part time, 12 month Fixed Term Contract

 

We’re looking for a Catering Assistant to help deliver a high-quality, safe, and person-centred catering service for patients, staff, and visitors. You’ll assist with food preparation, meal service, and cleaning duties across our kitchens, restaurant, and café areas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve meals for patients, staff, and visitors.
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene and safety in line with Health & Safety and Food Hygiene regulations.
  • Operate catering equipment and handle cash/card payments.
  • Support stock rotation and ensure equipment is clean and fit for purpose.
  • Provide excellent customer service and respond to requests promptly.

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous catering experience is helpful but not essential—full training provided.
  • Good communication and customer care skills.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Flexible, reliable, and able to work under pressure.
