As an Electrician in the Facilities Management team at Clarence Correctional Centre, you’ll play a key role in maintaining the centre’s electrical infrastructure to ensure a safe and respectful environment for inmates, staff, and visitors. You’ll be joining a high-performing and supportive team committed to quality, compliance, and continuous improvement. This role supports the broader goals of rehabilitation and reintegration in one of Australia’s most advanced correctional centres.
As a qualified Electrician, you’ll make a positive impact by:

Undertaking planned and unplanned maintenance and repair work

Supporting asset management, audits, tagging, and performance monitoring
-
Completing safety inspections and checks on plant and equipment
-
Troubleshooting and reporting on electrical faults and issues
-
Assisting with minor project works and technology upgrades
-
Promoting a 'safety first' approach in every task

To be successful in this role you’ll have:

Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician and current electrical licence
-
Post-trade experience in a maintenance or facilities environment
-
A strong safety mindset and experience with HSE procedures
-
Familiarity with CMMS and Microsoft Office tools (preferred)
-
BMS or HVAC system knowledge (desirable)
-
A current driver’s licence, White Card, and COVID-19 vaccination
