As an Electrician, you'll undertake planned and reactive electrical maintenance to ensure the safe, reliable and efficient operation of Clarence Correctional Centre. Working within the Facilities Management team, you'll maintain essential infrastructure, respond to faults and support continuous improvement initiatives that contribute to a safe environment for staff, visitors and the people in our care.

About Clarence Correctional Centre

Opened in mid-2020, this 1,700-bed state-of-the-art facility is the largest correctional centre in Australia.

Located on the beautiful NSW North Coast, approximately 6 hours' drive from Sydney and 3.5 hours from Brisbane, our region offers rainforests, epic headlands, sand dunes and some of Australia's best beaches, together with vibrant multicultural cafés, restaurants and welcoming community towns.

As an Electrician in the Facilities Management team, you'll make a positive impact by:

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and reactive electrical repairs across the Centre
• Responding to maintenance requests and electrical faults within required timeframes
• Supporting asset inspections, commissioning and preventative maintenance programs
• Maintaining electrical equipment in accordance with relevant legislation, standards and Centre procedures
• Contributing to minor projects, asset improvements and continuous improvement initiatives
• Promoting a strong safety culture while maintaining high standards of workmanship and professionalism
• Working collaboratively with the Facilities Management team to support the day-to-day operation of the Centre

To be successful in this role you'll have:

• Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician or equivalent trade qualification
• Relevant post-trade electrical maintenance experience
• Demonstrated commitment to workplace health and safety practices
• Experience in facilities management, asset management or maintenance environments (desirable)
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritise competing demands
• Sound computer skills, including experience using maintenance management systems (desirable)
• Current Driver Licence and White Card
• BMS/HVAC experience will be highly regarded
