As a Functional Manager – Accommodation at Clarence Correctional Centre in Lavadia, you’ll lead accommodation, security and operational functions within a designated area of Australia’s largest correctional centre. Reporting to the Deputy General Manager, you’ll guide a team of Supervisors and Case Officers to ensure safe, secure and respectful operations. You’ll play a key role in promoting rehabilitation and reintegration, while fostering an inclusive and culturally sensitive environment where everyone feels supported and valued.

As a Functional Manager – Accommodation in our Clarence team, you’ll make a positive impact by:

  • Leading static and dynamic security operations within your designated area

  • Managing inmate accommodation, placement and risk management processes

  • Guiding case and sentence management to support rehabilitation outcomes

  • Overseeing staffing, performance, development and team engagement

  • Ensuring compliance with legislation, policy and duty of care requirements

  • Driving continuous improvement across safety, service delivery and operational performance

About Clarence Correctional Centre

Opened in mid-2020, this 1,700-bed state-of-the-art facility is the largest correctional Centre in Australia.

Located on the beautiful NSW North Coast, approximately 6 hours’ drive from Sydney and 3.5 hours from Brisbane, the region offers rainforests, epic headlands, sand dunes and some of the best Australian beaches.   • Relevant qualifications in criminology, psychology, management, public administration or similar (desirable)

  • Relevant certificates in corrections

  • Significant senior-level experience in corrections or custodial environments

  • Strong leadership capability with experience managing diverse teams

  • Confidence managing security, operational and compliance requirements

  • Knowledge of modern correctional practices with a focus on rehabilitation
