Join us at Clarence Correctional Centre as a Maintenance Technician and help maintain a safe, secure, and functional facility. In this hands-on role, you’ll work closely with a diverse and supportive team to deliver high-quality maintenance services, ensuring our buildings and equipment are kept in excellent condition. You’ll play a key role in supporting operations and contributing to a safe environment for all.
As a Maintenance Technician in the Facility Management Services team, you’ll make a positive impact by:

Responding to maintenance issues and carrying out repairs on buildings and assets

Undertaking planned preventative maintenance and minor project work

Conducting safety checks on equipment and performing asset tagging
-
Using tools and testing equipment safely and effectively

Keeping accurate records and completing work reports

Supporting diagnostics, reporting findings, and helping develop team capability

A valid trade licence (plumbing, electrical, or carpentry certificates desirable)

Experience in general building maintenance across multiple trades

The ability to diagnose faults and perform reactive and preventative maintenance

A strong understanding of WHS legislation and safety practices
-
Confidence working in high-security or complex environments
-
Strong communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills
