The Industries Supervisor – Domestic Services (Laundry, Waste & Internal Grounds) leads a large team to drive efficient operations, enable inmate training, and maintain compliance with safety, security, and legislative standards while promoting a positive, inclusive culture and fostering high performance among inmates and staff.

The role includes managing resources, meeting and exceeding WHS expectations, and promoting the rehabilitation and reintegration of inmates, ensuring the safety and security of inmates and the community, providing a decent and respectful environment to staff, inmates, and visitors, to maintain a safe, respectful environment for all.

As an Industries Supervisor – Domestic Services, you’ll make a positive impact by:

You’re a hands-on leader with a trade background, passionate about mentoring others and creating real change. You’re adaptable, values-driven, and thrive in environments where teamwork, safety, and structure are essential.

To be successful in this role, you’ll have:

  • A relevant trade qualification
  • Certificate IV in Training & Assessment or willingness to obtain within first 12 months
  • Certificate III in Correctional Practice or willingness to obtain within first 12 months
  • Minimum 3 years post trade experience (desired)
  • Knowledge of WHS standards and ability to manage tools, inventory, and production systems
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead, guide, and develop others
