As a Training Officer at Clarence Correctional Centre, you’ll play a key role in supporting staff capability across a large, multi-functional environment. You’ll deliver engaging training and assessment that helps people feel confident, capable, and safe in their roles. Working closely with the People & Capability team, you’ll contribute to a positive learning culture that supports rehabilitation, safety, and respect. Your work will directly support staff development across the full employee lifecycle.

As a Training Officer in the People & Capability team, you’ll make a positive impact by:

• Delivering high-quality training and assessments to staff and contractors
• Supporting the development and implementation of training plans
• Promoting a positive and inclusive learning culture across the centre
• Liaising with stakeholders to ensure training compliance and currency
• Maintaining training resources, facilities, and learning materials
• Encouraging continuous improvement in training practices and outcomes

Serco is a place for you

You could be a great fit if you have:

• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE40116 or TAE40110 plus TAELLN411 (or successor) or TAELLN401A, and TAEASS502 (or successor) or TAEASS502A/B
• Advanced First Aid certification
• Certificate III in Correctional Practice
• Experience developing and implementing complex training plans for a large workforce
• Experience delivering training continuously across a large workforce
• Experience working in a correctional, detention, youth justice, or similar environment

Opened in mid-2020, this 1,700-bed state-of-the-art facility is the largest correctional Centre in Australia.
