Serco is seeking a Group FP&A Director to lead financial planning, performance management and insight across the Group.
This is a high-profile leadership role within Group Finance with regular exposure to the Group CFO, Executive Committee and Finance Leadership Team. The role will play a pivotal part in strengthening Group-wide performance management, improving the quality of management information and reporting, transforming planning and forecasting processes, and supporting the strategic growth of the business.
Operating across a complex global organisation, you will partner with senior finance and operational leaders to ensure financial performance is clearly understood, effectively communicated and translated into strategic decision-making at the highest levels of the organisation.
What you’ll be doing
• Lead Group-wide financial performance management, providing insight into the drivers of the Group’s P&L, balance sheet and cash flow
• Deliver executive-level reporting and financial insight to the Group CFO, Executive Committee and Board, translating complex financial information into clear strategic messages
• Partner with business unit CFOs and senior finance leaders across the Group to strengthen performance reporting and financial planning
• Lead the transformation of Group FP&A processes, including budgeting, forecasting and management reporting, driving greater clarity, consistency and insight across the organisation
• Improve the quality and transparency of monthly business unit performance reporting
• Define and deliver the digital roadmap for management information and reporting, positioning the finance function for future ERP transformation
• Build and lead a high-performing FP&A team, while developing a broader FP&A community across Serco to drive alignment, best practice and continuous improvement
What you’ll bring
• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with significant senior international FP&A leadership experience in a large, complex and global organisation
• Strong track record of transforming FP&A capability and improving financial planning, forecasting and management reporting, ideally at a Group level
• Experience delivering financial insight and performance reporting to executive leadership and Board-level stakeholders
• Ability to translate complex financial data into clear, concise insight that informs strategic decision-making
• Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills across senior finance and operational leadership teams
• Strategic mindset with strong commercial acumen and analytical rigour
• Experience modernising FP&A processes through improved data, systems and analytical techniques
• Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams and strengthen capability across a finance function
