Senior Communication & Engagement Business Partner

Band 2 / £70,000 - £85,000 (dependent on experience)    

Here at Serco, we’re looking for a Senior Communication & Engagement Business Partner to develop and implement a comprehensive strategy to align communications (internal and external) with Citizen Services’ business strategy.

 

In this key role, you will focus on managing external communications and social value, ensuring that the reputation of the company is protected and enhanced, alongside enhancing colleague engagement, ensuring that employees feel informed and valued.

 

You will need to foster strong relationships with stakeholders, creating initiatives that promote a positive workplace culture. This is a crucial role in shaping the Citizen Services narrative and driving engagement at all levels.      

 

As part of this you’ll:

  • Take a lead role on the development and delivery of external and internal communications for the Citizen Services business unit
  • Develop and deliver a customer-focused, external communications strategy
  • Take complex information and create easy to understand messages that are engaging and relevant to the audience
  • Manage any reputational issues, working closely with the Head of Communications and liaising with the Media Relations team
  • Build an external engagement plan
  • Implement a creative and engaging internal communications plan
  • Ensure communication and change activity aligns with HR practices and plans
  • Lead the development, coordination and delivery of social value initiatives

 

What you’ll need to do the role:

  • 5+ years relevant communications experience
  • Complex programme management working with a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work in an agile manner and responsive to changing business needs
  • Reputation management experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven experience of implementing a communication plan
  • Strong technical expertise and experience of working with various internal social media channels
