We’re looking for an experienced, values-driven Operations Manager to lead our Justice Transport Services (JTS) operations in Melbourne. You’ll oversee the delivery of contractual performance, drive continuous improvement, and ensure the safety and wellbeing of our team and the people in our care. This is a leadership role requiring resilience, collaboration and a strong customer focus, reporting to the Justice Director – Justice Transport Services Victoria

As an Operations Manager in the JTS team, you’ll make a positive impact by:

  • Leading and coaching a team of Transport Care & Custody Officers (TCCO) and Supervisors/Controllers

  • Establishing & maintaining relationships with internal teams and engagement with key justice and law enforcement partners

  • Overseeing contractual and operational performance, KPIs and compliance

  • Delivering services aligned with health, safety and welfare standards

  • Driving operational excellence and continuous improvement

  • Providing 24/7 on-call operational support as required on a rotating basis

  • Experience managing operations within justice, security, or related industry with a focus on people transport services (operational fleet transport management experience is also highly regarded)

  • A proven record of strong leadership and people management

  • The ability to work with diverse teams in high-pressure environments

  • Sound understanding of legal, contractual and risk frameworks

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills

  • Tertiary qualifications and/or 5+ years in the criminal justice sector
