Looking for meaningful work that fits a flexible lifestyle? Join Serco’s Justice Transport Services team as a Casual Transport Care & Custody Officer and make a real impact in your community.

In this role, you’ll support the safe and respectful transport of people in custody between courts, police stations and correctional facilities. You’ll work as part of a close-knit team, staying focused, communicating clearly, and treating every individual with dignity.

This is a casual opportunity, with shifts across a 7-day roster (5:00am – 10:00pm), so flexibility and availability at short notice are important.

What you’ll gain:

  • Commencing on paid full-time 8-week training, before undertaking casual shifts
  • Certificate III in Correctional Practice (nationally recognised)
  • Ongoing support and development
  • The opportunity to build a long-term career with Serco

You could be a great fit if you:

  • Are flexible and available for on-call, casual shifts
  • Stay calm and steady in fast-moving situations
  • Communicate clearly and work well in a team
  • Use sound judgement and stay steady under pressure
  • Are reliable, respectful, and willing to learn
  • Are comfortable driving long distances

You’ll also need (or be willing to obtain):

  • Heavy Rigid (HR) driver’s licence
  • Working with Children Check (Employee)
  • National Police Check and relevant State clearances with Victoria Police
  • Physical fitness to safely perform the role
  • Australian work rights
