We’re looking for an experienced and people-focused Transport Care & Custody Supervisor-Controller to lead our Justice Transport Services (JTS) day-to-day operations in Victoria. In this role, you’ll be responsible for supervising daily transport schedules, supporting frontline teams, and ensuring timely, secure and compliant movements of people in custody. This is a dynamic, fast-paced leadership role ideal for someone who thrives on teamwork, logistics, and creating a safe and supportive work environment.
As a Transport Care & Custody Supervisor-Controller in the JTS team, you’ll make a positive impact by:

Overseeing daily transport operations, escort team deployment and vehicle scheduling

Mentoring and developing operational staff across multiple locations
-
Managing team performance, compliance and workplace safety & staff wellbeing
-
Coordinating with stakeholders across justice, law enforcement, health and transport sectors

Supporting safe, timely and contract-compliant movement of people in custody

Handling issues and incidents with professionalism and empathy

You could be a great fit if you have:

Certificate III in Correctional Practice (mandatory)
-
Certificate IV in Correctional Practice or willingness to obtain it (advantageous)

HLTAID011 Provide First Aid and HLTAID009 Provide CPR (or willingness to obtain)

AIIMS Level 2 – Incident Management (mandatory or willingness to obtain)
-
At least 5 years’ experience in custodial or human service delivery management
-
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with calm decision-making ability
-
Experience leading diverse teams in high-pressure settings
-
Confidence with rostering systems and logistics coordination
-
A valid Heavy Rigid (HR) driver’s licence or the ability to obtain
