This role is suited to a Business and Technology professional with good AI knowledge and exceptional business analysis and project management skills to help transform the way we work. In this end-to-end role, you’ll collaborate across multiple service lines to identify opportunities where automation and AI can reduce manual effort, streamline repetitive tasks and bring in process efficiencies.
You’ll engage directly with senior leaders and business stakeholders to map processes, build a pipeline of improvement opportunities, and deliver practical, cost-effective solutions using existing tools such as ChatGPT or AutoGen. With oversight of projects from concept to completion, you’ll blend business analysis, project management, and continuous improvement to turn ideas into real-world impact.
We’re looking for someone who can speak the language of the business, bring market insight, and foster strong team connections — driving smarter ways of working that make a difference every day.
This is a key role that will shape Serco’s AI roadmap and embed responsible AI practices while translating business challenges into intelligent, ethical, and scalable AI solutions.
As an Automation and AI Product Manager, you’ll make a positive impact by:
- Defining and executing the vision, roadmap, and delivery model for AI and automation products
- Leading the end-to-end delivery of automated solutions that improve efficiency and accuracy
- Building strong partnerships with business leaders, vendors, and technical teams
- Applying Agile and Scrum methodologies to manage project delivery and measure outcomes
- Driving stakeholder engagement and fostering a culture of responsible AI use
- Evaluating and implementing cutting-edge automation and AI tools and platforms
- Embedding governance, compliance, and ethical frameworks into all AI initiatives
- Monitoring trends in automation and refining strategies for continuous improvement
Serco is a place for you
To be successful in this role you’ll have:
- Proven experience implementing AI and automation tools that deliver measurable efficiencies
- Strong project management skills with experience in Agile, Scrum, or DevOps environments
- Excellent communication and influencing skills across diverse stakeholder groups
- Analytical mindset with a systematic approach to problem-solving and risk management
- Experience in data governance, privacy, and AI compliance practices
- Tertiary qualifications in business, technology, data science, or a related field
- Scrum/Agile qualifications (required); AI Product Management or Governance certifications (preferred)
You’ll be part of a forward-thinking business passionate about reimagining how work gets done through intelligent systems. Here, curiosity and creativity are celebrated — and you’ll have the opportunity to make a lasting impact on the way healthcare technology evolves.
