As the Cyber Security Manager at Fiona Stanley Hospital, you’ll lead Serco’s ICT Security function to protect critical systems, data, and services that support patient care and hospital operations. You’ll set the direction for cyber security strategy, operations, and risk management while ensuring alignment with Serco frameworks, client requirements, and Australian regulatory standards.
This is a senior leadership role where you’ll guide security operations, lead incident response, uplift cyber maturity, and partner closely with hospital, ICT, and government stakeholders. Your work will directly support a safe, resilient, and trusted healthcare environment.
As a Cyber Security Manager, you’ll make a positive impact by:
- Leading cyber security practices across FSH ICT and Digital teams
- Ensuring effective implementation of cyber security lifecycle frameworks (e.g. NIST)
- Owning security incident response and leading Security Incident Response Teams (SIRT)
- Reviewing security breaches and vulnerabilities and driving remediation actions
- Providing authoritative advice on security controls, risk management, and compliance
- Managing penetration testing programs and vulnerability assessments
- Driving compliance with Essential 8, SOCI Act, audits, and contractual obligations
- Leading, coaching, and developing a high-performing ICT Security team
- Building strong relationships with hospital leadership, vendors, and partners
- Driving continuous improvement, innovation, and security uplift initiatives

To be successful in this role you’ll have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent experience
- CISSP and CISM certifications (required)
- Strong leadership experience in cyber security or information security roles
- Deep understanding of security operations, incident response, and risk management
- Experience with SIEM, vulnerability management, penetration testing, and security tooling
- Proven ability to lead teams, manage KPIs, and deliver service excellence
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience in healthcare or highly regulated environments (preferred)
- Willingness to participate in an on-call and major incident management roster
