$29.91 an hour (20% casual loading) + Super

12.5% penalty rates for 1400 – 2200 shift

As an Environmental Attendant, you’ll play an essential role in ensuring the hospital maintains a safe, hygienic, and compliant environment. Reporting to the Team Leader – Environmental, your responsibilities will include:

  • Collecting and distributing clean and soiled waste bins across hospital departments
  • Safely handling, emptying, washing, and recording various waste streams
  • Supporting waste minimisation and recycling initiatives
  • Operating bin washing and waste management equipment in line with safety procedures
  • Liaising with subcontractors to coordinate waste management services
  • Assisting staff and stakeholders in a professional, customer-focused manner

  • Experience in a healthcare, hospitality, or customer-focused environment (desirable)
  • An understanding of safe waste handling or willingness to learn
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Good communication skills with a focus on service and safety
  • Willingness to meet health, safety, and vaccination requirements for hospital work
