Make an impact at Serco

As the FM Applications Manager, you’ll lead the people, operational performance, technology direction and ongoing development of the FM Applications service at Fiona Stanley Hospital. You’ll work with a diverse applications team supporting business-critical, clinical and operational systems. Your leadership will help deliver stable, reliable and effective technology services while shaping the future direction of the application portfolio.

You’ll make a positive impact by:

  • Leading and developing a capable, accountable and high-performing applications team
  • Managing stable, reliable and contractually compliant application services
  • Developing application lifecycle plans, technology roadmaps and service improvements
  • Providing clear advice on application priorities, investment, upgrades and replacement
  • Strengthening vendor performance, service governance and stakeholder relationships
  • Driving continuous improvement, knowledge management and succession planning

  • Experience leading and developing high-performing technical teams in a complex, 24/7 environment
  • Strong people leadership, coaching, workforce planning and performance management skills
  • Experience managing application portfolios, technology roadmaps and lifecycle planning
  • Sound knowledge of service delivery, operational governance, risk and continuous improvement
  • Strong vendor, stakeholder and financial management experience
  • The ability to turn technical challenges into clear business outcomes and recommendations

You’ll bring well-developed communication, influencing, problem-solving and decision-making skills, along with a collaborative, customer-focused and accountable leadership style. You’ll also need a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience, plus ITIL certification or demonstrated equivalent service management experience.

The role requires participation in an on-call roster and support for major incident management as required.
