Make an impact at Serco

As a Finance Business Partner, you'll work closely with Serco businesses to deliver timely, accurate and relevant financial information that supports informed decision-making. Working across contracts within the Serco portfolio, you'll help drive consistency in financial reporting, support the monthly reporting timetable and provide analysis that identifies opportunities for business improvement. This is a collaborative role where your commercial acumen, financial expertise and ability to build trusted relationships will help deliver meaningful insights and support better business outcomes.

As a Finance Business Partner, you'll make a positive impact by:

• Serving as a trusted and accessible point of contact for the Commercial Finance team and General Managers
• Supporting the month-end close process across assigned contracts, ensuring timelines and deliverables are met
• Ensuring the integrity of financial records through forecasts, budgets, monthly reporting, reconciliations and compliance packs
• Providing ad-hoc reporting and analysis to support business decision-making
• Championing collaboration across virtual teams and supporting the Finance Operating Model
• Identifying opportunities to streamline and improve accounting processes and supporting audit requirements

• An appropriate professional qualification such as CA, CPA or equivalent, or are qualified by experience
• Strong commercial acumen and the ability to link financial and non-financial value drivers
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, with proficiency in SAP and experience with data warehouse tools
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to exercise sound judgement when working with incomplete or ambiguous information
• A proven ability to build trusted relationships and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
