We're looking for caring and customer-focused individuals to join our External Transport Services team. As a Patient Transport Officer, you’ll support the safe and compassionate transfer of eligible patients and carers at Fiona Stanley Hospital. You’ll work closely with hospital staff and other team members to provide an on-time, professional service that enhances the hospital experience.
As a Patient Transport Officer in the External Transport Services team, you’ll make a positive impact by:
- Delivering timely and compassionate transport services for patients and carers
- Checking and maintaining vehicle and equipment readiness
- Assisting patients with safe boarding and disembarking
- Recording and communicating detailed handover information
- Following infection control and safety protocols
- Driving vehicles safely while maintaining patient comfort

To be successful in this role you’ll have:
- Certificate III in Non-Emergency Patient Transport/Certificate IV in Health care or equivalent
- Current WA C Class Driver’s Licence
- PTD - Passenger Transport Driver Authorisation (or willingness to obtain)
- Valid CPR certification/ First aid certificate (or willingness to obtain)
- WWC Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Up-to-date COVID-19 and other relevant vaccinations (MMR, Pertussis, Varicella)
- Experience in a similar role or strong transferable skills from a customer service or care setting
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a respectful and inclusive approach
