Make an impact at Serco
As Cyber Security Principal at Fiona Stanley Hospital, you’ll act as a technical thought leader helping shape and strengthen the hospital’s cyber security landscape. Working closely with ICT teams, vendors, and hospital stakeholders, you’ll guide the design and assurance of secure systems that protect critical infrastructure and sensitive data. You’ll also play an important role in mentoring colleagues and encouraging a collaborative security culture. Your work will directly support safe and reliable healthcare services for the community.
As a Cyber Security Principal in the ICT Healthcare team, you’ll make a positive impact by:
- Designing and guiding secure network and security architecture across hospital environments
- Advising projects and teams on cyber security controls, risk mitigation and best practice
- Supporting incident response, risk assessments and vulnerability management activities
- Monitoring and improving security performance through metrics, analysis and reporting
- Collaborating with teams, stakeholders and vendors to embed security across solutions
- Coaching and mentoring colleagues to strengthen cyber capability and grow future talent

- Strong experience in cyber security architecture, security technologies and enterprise environments
- Experience working with cyber security frameworks such as the ACSC Essential 8 and SOCI requirements
- Detail-oriented and pragmatic; makes recommendations grounded in business sense with hands-on experience in execution.
- The ability to collaborate openly with teams and stakeholders rather than working in isolation
- A proactive mindset focused on coaching, enabling and supporting others to succeed
- A genuine interest in helping the next generation of cyber professionals build their capability
- Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills within complex technical environments
- Large enterprise organization experience or experience within a major professional consulting firm is preferred
- Consideration for a Senior Cyber Security Engineering background ready to transition into an architecture-focused role.
