Make an impact at Serco

As a Senior Cloud Architect / Engineer in the cloud enablement team, you’ll help design and implement robust AWS solutions that support our cloud strategy. You’ll combine hands-on engineering with architecture, documentation and knowledge sharing to build sustainable cloud capability across our teams. Working within a dynamic cloud enablement team, you’ll translate strategic requirements into practical technical solutions aligned with enterprise standards and best practices.

You’ll make a positive impact by:

• Designing and implementing AWS-based architectures across core cloud services
• Developing solution architectures, reference designs and technical documentation
• Configuring AWS infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code best practices
• Collaborating with security, platform and application teams to deliver aligned solutions
• Troubleshooting complex cloud deployment, performance and integration issues
• Mentoring teams and sharing knowledge to uplift internal cloud capability

You could be a great fit if you have:

• 10+ years’ IT infrastructure experience, including 5+ years in AWS cloud architecture
• Strong expertise across core AWS services including EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS and Lambda
• Hands-on experience with Terraform, CloudFormation or CDK
• Understanding of AWS Landing Zone concepts and the Landing Zone Accelerator
• Experience with CI/CD, automation and DevOps practices
• Strong communication, documentation, mentoring and stakeholder engagement skills.
