Reporting to the Senior Program Manager within the PMO, the Senior Project Manager will be responsible for the delivery of major and complex projects, that require strong leadership and governance.

The Senior Project Manager will ensure projects are delivered in line with the project management methodology, and will be responsible for stakeholder management, governance, reporting and overall execution of the project scope.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Maintain key project documents (e.g. PID, project log)
  • Establish and oversee project governance and controls
  • Coordinate resources to deliver project scope
  • Manage project risks and issues
  • Provide regular project reporting
  • Engage business stakeholders to support change initiatives
  • Manage clinical and non-clinical stakeholder relationships
  • Oversee vendor and subcontractor contributions
  • Monitor and manage project budget and costs
  • Chair key project meetings (e.g. Steering Committees, Working Groups)

You are a self-motivated professional with strong interpersonal skills, adept at quickly grasping tasks and driving them to completion. Skilled in coordinating teams, navigating complex systems and structures, and fostering collaboration across all levels to support effective service delivery.

To be successful in this role you’ll have:

  • Minimum 5+ years of demonstrated experience in working in a Project Management Office team, delivering complex ICT Digital projects
  • Demonstrated experience successfully delivering ICT infrastructure and/or application upgrade projects.
  • Experience working with Clinical & hospital employees as well as ICT vendors and subcontractors highly desirable.
  • Previous experience delivering ICTD projects within the WA Health environment highly desirable.
  • Well-developed presentation skills combined with a keen sense of commercial acumen.
  • Ability to prepare evidence-based reports compiled from various sources and present to executive-level stakeholders.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office tools, specifically, Excel, Teams and SharePoint.
  • Prince2 (or similar) project management qualification.
