As a Senior Purchasing Officer, you’ll play an important role in supporting the effective delivery of procurement and purchasing operations at Fiona Stanley Hospital. Working within the Strategic Procurement team, you’ll help ensure purchase orders, invoicing workflows, and supplier interactions are managed accurately and efficiently. You’ll also support stakeholders across the business while contributing to continuous improvement and compliance within Procure-to-Pay processes. This is a fast-paced and collaborative role where your leadership and problem-solving skills will make a genuine difference.
As a Senior Purchasing Officer in the Strategic Procurement team, you’ll make a positive impact by:
- Managing purchase order creation and procurement activities within required timeframes
- Supporting supplier negotiations, low-value quote sourcing, and dispute resolution
- Processing goods receipting, invoicing workflows, and supplier enquiries accurately
- Investigating and resolving blocked invoices and GR/IR discrepancies
- Leading and supporting Purchasing team members through training and technical guidance
- Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers

- Experience working in purchasing, procurement, or Procure-to-Pay environments
- Strong knowledge of P2P systems, ideally including SAP
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities

- A proactive and calm approach when working in fast-paced environments
