This role will ensure the delivery of robust cloud architecture through hands-on engineering, while uplifting internal capability through documentation, training, and knowledge transfer. You will support the design, configure, and implement scalable, secure, and well-architected solutions on AWS to support the organization's cloud strategy. The Cloud Architect will play a pivotal role in translating strategic cloud requirements into actionable technical designs aligned with enterprise standards and best practices.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Support the design and implementation of AWS-based architectures, including networking, compute, storage, identity, and security services.
  • Support detailed solution architectures, reference designs, and documentation to guide implementation teams.
  • Configure AWS services and infrastructure using best practice approaches, including Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders (platform engineers, security teams, application owners) to ensure solutions are aligned with business needs and compliance requirements.
  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues related to cloud deployment, performance, and integration.
  • Create technical documentation, runbooks, and operational guides for implemented solutions.
  • Provide hands-on training, mentoring, and capability uplift for internal staff and cross-functional teams.
  • Contribute to architectural governance, standards, and reusability of cloud patterns and services.
  • Engage with AWS representatives and vendors as needed to support solution development.

To be successful in this role you’ll have:

  • 10+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, with at least 5+ years in cloud architecture and solution delivery, predominantly in AWS.
  • Deep expertise in core AWS services (EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of security best practices in AWS (e.g., IAM, KMS, security groups, guardrails).
  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using CloudFormation, Terraform or CDK.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automation tooling (e.g., GitHub Actions, CodePipeline), and DevOps principles.

Qualifications

  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional
  • ITIL Foundation or similar
  • AWS Certified Security – Specialty (desirable)
  • Citrix DaaS experience (desirable)
