Serco is seeking an accomplished WHS & Wellbeing Manager to lead the delivery of contemporary work health, safety, injury management and wellbeing services at Fiona Stanley Hospital.

This is a critical strategic leadership role with the opportunity to shape a proactive safety culture, strengthen organisational capability and deliver innovative solutions that improve the health, safety and wellbeing of employees, volunteers and subcontractors across a complex hospital environment.

Reporting to the HRMS Manager, you will lead a multidisciplinary team and work closely with Serco leaders, operational teams and South Metropolitan Health Service stakeholders. You will translate strategy, legislation, performance insights and contemporary practice into practical initiatives that deliver measurable and sustainable outcomes.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Leading the WHS, workers’ compensation and injury management team
• Driving risk-based WHS, wellbeing and injury-prevention strategies
• Leading WHS governance, assurance, audit and compliance activities
• Championing innovation and continuous improvement across systems and processes
• Building trusted partnerships across clinical and non-clinical services
• Influencing leaders and teams to strengthen safety ownership and performance
• Monitoring WHS performance, contractual obligations and key performance indicators
• Providing high-quality reporting, analysis and recommendations to support informed decision-making
• Leading integrated workplace rehabilitation and injury management services
• Creating a collaborative, accountable and high-performing team culture

About you

You are a credible and forward-thinking safety leader who can balance strategic direction with operational delivery. You bring strong judgement, commercial awareness and the ability to engage, influence and constructively challenge stakeholders at all levels.

Your experience will include:

• Significant experience delivering WHS, health, injury management or workplace rehabilitation programs
• Demonstrated success leading teams and delivering measurable service improvement
• Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, governance, assurance and contemporary practice
• Excellent stakeholder management, consultation and influencing capability
• Strong analytical and reporting skills, including audits, risk assessments, investigations, business cases and performance reporting
• Experience within a healthcare, hospital or similarly complex operating environment, which will be highly regarded
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in WHS or injury management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, which are desirable
