Satcom Security Architect
Posting Start Date: 9 Apr 2026
Location: Noordwijk, NL
Company: Serco Plc
Job Introduction
Serco is a leading Space Services Provider with thousands of skilled resources that has supported over 50 space missions on behalf of more than 10 Space or Government agencies around the globe, including the ESA and NASA. Serco offers space capability across the full space lifecycle from satellite testing to Launch services, LEOP to spacecraft operations, space surveillance to data management, and supporting downstream application development.
With this in mind, we are seeking a European-based Satcom Security Architect who supports ESA on defining, integrating, and sustaining the end‑to‑end security architecture of satellite communication systems across space, ground, and user segments.
You would ensure that cybersecurity and information assurance requirements are addressed by design, translating mission, regulatory, and risk‑based security needs into coherent technical architectures covering networks, platforms, applications, and data flows. Acting as a key interface between system engineering, operations, and security governance, you would assess threats and vulnerabilities specific to satcom environments, define proportionate protection measures, and support their implementation throughout the system lifecycle, from design and validation to operations and incident handling, while ensuring continued compliance with applicable space and cybersecurity standards.
At Serco, we do not only offer a career but also the opportunity to join a community where everyone’s wellbeing matters, by living out the Serco values in all we do!
