We’re looking for a psychologist to join our multidisciplinary team and provide high-quality, person-centred care to Australian Defence Force members.
This is a permanent part-time opportunity, working four days per week — Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, with 7.5-hour shifts starting from 7:00 am.

About the Health Centre
Oakey Health Centre, located at the Army Aviation Centre (AAC) just 3 km outside Oakey, supports approximately 500 Defence personnel, all from an adult population. The standard operating hours are 07:00 – 16:30, Monday to Friday.
What you’ll do
- Deliver high-quality mental health care to Defence members
- Conducting fitness-for-duty assessments and pre/post-deployment care.
- Undertaking assessments, interventions, formulating treatment and care plans for individuals and group education sessions
- Work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary clinical environment where patient wellness is paramount
What you bring
- Unrestricted AHPRA general registration as a Psychologist
- Minimum two years’ Post Graduate experience within last five years in mental health within a Primary Healthcare Setting or Specialist Mental Health Setting
- Comprehensive assessment skills and experience in ‘Focussed Psychological Strategies’ and ‘Psychological Therapy’ as per Medicare Schedule
- Current CPR certification (HLTAID009)
- Australian Citizenship required for Baseline Security Clearance
- Commitment to CPD and ethical, patient-centred care
