Make an impact at Serco

As a Head Curator, you'll play an important role in the maintenance, preparation and presentation of sports fields, cricket wickets and training facilities to the highest possible standard. Working under the direction of the Head Sports Turf Curator, you'll contribute to the efficient delivery of sports turf operations through specialist turf maintenance, wicket preparation, equipment operation and a commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement. This is a hands-on role where your knowledge of sports turf and ability to work collaboratively will help support the presentation and performance of sporting surfaces across allocated sites.

As a Head Curator, you'll make a positive impact by:

• Undertaking routine and specialist sports field maintenance activities
• Assisting with the preparation, maintenance and presentation of cricket wickets and practice nets
• Maintaining and preparing AFL, soccer, cricket and other sporting surfaces to required standards
• Supporting the planning and coordination of daily works, resource allocation and equipment utilisation
• Operating and maintaining specialised sports turf equipment and reporting defects
• Ensuring all works are completed safely and supporting continuous improvement initiatives

You could be a great fit if you have:

• Strong knowledge of sports turf maintenance practices and experience maintaining AFL, soccer and cricket playing surfaces
• Sound understanding of cricket wicket preparation and management
• Demonstrated experience in sports field maintenance, including operating a wide range of turf maintenance machinery
• A relevant Sports Turf Management qualification or equivalent relevant industry experience
• A current Driver Licence, with a Certificate III or Certificate IV in Sports Turf Management desirable
• A commitment to workplace safety, continuous improvement and working effectively within a team environment
