As a Sports Turf Curator, you’ll play a hands-on role in maintaining high-quality sports fields that support safe play and strong community connections. Working within our Melbourne Parks & Gardens team, you’ll care for turf, irrigation and equipment to the highest standards. This role blends practical expertise with pride in presentation and sustainability. Every day, your work helps deliver spaces people rely on and enjoy.

As a Sports Turf Curator in the Melbourne Parks & Gardens team, you’ll make a positive impact by:

  • Inspecting, maintaining and renovating sports turf to agreed standards

  • Selecting and using materials and equipment to meet schedules safely

  • Inspecting and reporting on irrigation systems and field infrastructure

  • Applying fertilisers and treatments safely and sustainably

  • Coordinating turf renovation programs and field preparation

  • Completing records, reporting and documentation accurately

You could be a great fit if you have:

  • Proven experience maintaining sports turf to a high standard

  • A practical, hands-on approach and pride in outdoor work

  • Experience using and caring for plant, machinery and tools

  • Knowledge of turf pests, diseases and sustainable treatments

  • Certificate IV in Turf Management or higher

  • A current Driver’s Licence and relevant machinery tickets
