Audio-Visual Conference Technician

We are looking for an experienced, English speaking, Audio-Visual Conference Technician to support high-level international meetings, hybrid conferences, interpretation sessions, and streaming operations within a professional institutional environment.

The role requires a hands-on technical professional capable of managing conference room AV systems, troubleshooting live issues under pressure, and ensuring seamless delivery of meetings with a strong focus on reliability, professionalism, and confidentiality.

Main Responsibilities

    • Operate, monitor, and maintain audio-visual systems used during conferences, meetings, and hybrid events
    • Perform startup, shutdown, configuration, and testing of AV equipment including microphones, interpretation systems, infrared transmitters, monitors, headsets, and conferencing devices
    • Provide live technical assistance during meetings and quickly resolve connectivity or technical issues
    • Conduct dry-run testing prior to videoconferencing and hybrid meeting sessions
    • Set up, configure, and support simultaneous interpretation systems for multilingual meetings
    • Support streaming operations for internal and external event broadcasting, including multilingual streaming when required
    • Assist with PowerPoint presentations, multimedia playback, and video projection across conference and meeting rooms
    • Configure and monitor digital recording systems and ensure recordings are properly backed up and shared through approved channels
    • Carry out periodic maintenance, software updates, firmware upgrades, and configuration checks on AV infrastructure
    • Support installation, dismantling, transportation, and reconfiguration of AV equipment for conferences and events
    • Provide technical interventions and first-level troubleshooting/repair for audio-visual equipment
    • Collaborate closely with internal IT and conference support teams to ensure smooth event delivery
    • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding meeting content and organizational activities
    • Support occasional overtime, evening, weekend, or holiday operations during major events when required

Skills Required

  • Minimum 5 years of experience supporting audio/video conference systems within international institutions, corporate environments, or comparable organizations
  • Strong knowledge of conference control room operations and live meeting support
  • Strong spoken and written English communication skills
  • Experience managing simultaneous interpretation systems and hybrid meeting environments
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills related to audio-visual and conferencing technologies
  • Strong understanding of videoconferencing systems including Poly, Neat, Polycom, DTEN, Yealink, Logitech, and similar platforms
  • Experience with Dante integration and AV-over-IP environments
  • Knowledge of streaming encoder configuration, integration, and maintenance
  • Hands-on experience with Zoom Rooms setup, configuration, maintenance, and updates
  • Experience supporting hybrid meetings integrating interpretation systems into Zoom or equivalent platforms
  • Good understanding of smart TV operating systems and conferencing room technologies
  • Ability to work independently in high-pressure live event environments
  • Professional, service-oriented mindset with strong attention to detail
  • Relevant AV or conferencing certifications are considered a strong advantage
