Job Introduction

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Finance Advisor to join our Finance team in our Italian office, in Rome. This role is ideal for a professional with solid accounting knowledge who thrives in a collaborative environment and can manage multiple responsibilities with accuracy and efficiency.

 

The successful candidate will support key accounting processes, financial reporting activities, and operational finance tasks while working closely with colleagues across the wider Finance organisation.

Key Responsibilities

 

Monthly Closing Activities:

  • Support the preparation and execution of monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities
  • Review and ensure accurate posting of journal entries, accruals, and adjustments
  • Support and participate in monthly project performance reviews and financial analysis

 

Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable:

  • Assist with invoice processing and supplier reconciliations
  • Monitor outstanding receivables and support collection activities
  • Perform regular reconciliations of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable

 

Intercompany Transactions:

  • Support the reconciliation and monitoring of intercompany balance sheet accounts
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance with internal accounting policies

 

Financial Planning & Forecasting:

  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of financial plans, forecasts, and business plans
  • Collaborate with the wider Finance team to ensure alignment between operational and financial planning
  • General Finance Support
  • Support internal and external audit requests by preparing documentation and extracting relevant financial data
  • Collaborate with colleagues across functions to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting

Skills

  • 4–5 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or finance operations
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or a technical diploma with relevant professional experience
  • Strong Excel proficiency (advanced level required)
  • Fluency in English
  • Knowledge of Italian GAAP and accounting rules
  • Experience working with ERP systems (SAP preferred or similar)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Proactive mindset with initiative and willingness to learn
