The Community You Will Join

You will work in an international, diverse team, surrounded by top-tier scientists, engineers, and technical experts who inspire and challenge you every day. You’ll have ongoing opportunities to grow through specialized training and professional development tailored to the space sector, all while being part of a company that genuinely values work-life balance, mutual respect, and a shared commitment to excellence. As you contribute to innovative projects and mission-critical systems, you’ll gain hands-on exposure to cutting-edge technologies and collaborate closely with major space agencies, becoming part of something truly extraordinary.

The Difference You Will Make

You will contribute directly to some of Europe’s most exciting space programmes, from Earth observation and climate monitoring to satellite navigation and space safety. Your work will play a vital role in ensuring mission success, enabling better decision-making on Earth and driving innovation in orbit. Whether you’re helping managing spacecraft operations, analysing mission data, or supporting software and systems development, your expertise will help move Europe’s space ambitions forward.

Your Mission

You will play a central role in supporting the management of ESA EO projects, where you will review deliverables, issue RIDs, and coordinate feedback to ensure progress and quality. You will help shape new technical and scientific materials, creating presentations, flyers, and training content whenever the Agency calls upon your expertise. As needs arise, you will demonstrate and present tools or results, translating complex work into clear and impactful insights. You will contribute to the organisation of scientific workshops and training events, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing. Along the way, you will support the testing of toolboxes, platforms, and technical deliverables developed by industry partners, helping validate innovation. Beyond individual projects, you will also contribute to international initiatives, extending your support to the Agency on a broader stage.

What You Bring to the Mission

You will join a multilingual team in an international environment where English will be your primary working language, and additional European languages will be an asset. Building on your degree in Physics, Remote Sensing, or a related field, you will apply your expertise in satellite remote sensing, image processing, geomatics, and GIS technologies. Leveraging your experience in EO data processing, you will use modern technologies such as cloud computing, big data, and AI, while your teaching and communication skills will support effective knowledge sharing.

You will hold a PhD in a field relevant to satellite Earth Observation or MSC, supported by at least three years of experience in space observations and multi-source data integration. You will bring experience in scientific and application project management, along with strong communication and documentation writing skills. Using data science tools such as Python, R, SQL, Matlab, or C++, you will address analytical challenges with confidence. You will manage multiple tasks in parallel, prioritising effectively while working collaboratively within a team. Your proactive approach to problem-solving and your fluency in English will ensure effective contribution, while additional languages will be considered an asset.
