Permanent, Full Time (Mon – Fri 8:00 – 16:30)

Up to £31,000 per annum + Corporate Benefits Package

 

Serco is recruiting a Multi-Skilled Engineer / Technician to support the maintenance of Great Western Hospital. You’ll deliver reactive and planned maintenance across building fabric, plant and equipment in a live healthcare environment, helping ensure safe and uninterrupted hospital services.

 

Key responsibilities

 

  • Reactive repairs, fault finding and maintenance (including fire doors, fire stopping and fabric works)
  • Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM)
  • Diagnose faults in complex systems
  • Plan maintenance works and coordinate contractors
  • Complete risk and impact assessments for shutdowns
  • Work safely in line with Serco policies and healthcare standards
  • Support training and mentoring of apprentices
  • Participate in shift work and on-call rota

 

What we’re looking for

 

  • Completed recognised apprenticeship or equivalent technical training
  • Qualification such as HNC, Level 4 NVQ/Diploma or similar
  • Experience in a hospital or complex building environment preferred
  • Strong building fabric knowledge
  • Good communication and customer service skills
