We’re looking for a strategic and passionate Account Director to drive growth and deepen partnerships within the Defence sector. In this role, you’ll join the ASPAC Chief Customer Officer’s Sales team, working closely with senior Defence clients, Contract Directors, and General Managers to identify and secure new opportunities. You’ll play a key role in shaping commercial strategy, strengthening relationships, and delivering sustainable outcomes in a complex and high-stakes service environment.

 

As an Account Director, you’ll make a positive impact by:

  • Managing and executing strategic account plans aligned with divisional goals
  • Leading sales campaigns to secure contract extensions, rebids, and organic growth
  • Building and nurturing strong client relationships with government stakeholders
  • Supporting operational and financial performance across major contracts
  • Ensuring compliance with governance, risk, and commercial frameworks
  • Championing a positive and inclusive culture across multi-site teams

 

To excel you will be responsible for developing and seizing opportunities that have a direct impact on the Business Unit profitability and fit into one or more of these categories:

To be successful in this role you’ll have:

  • A background in strategic account management within the Defence industry or consulting sector, with proven success leading sales or growth across complex government clients
  • A degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (postgraduate preferred)
  • Ability to cultivate client relationships and manage high-level negotiations
  • High commercial acumen and strong client relationship skills
  • Deep understanding of public procurement and compliance frameworks
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Defence security clearance (NV1 or ability to obtain)
  • Leadership skills that foster psychological safety, inclusiveness, and a culture of innovation, resilience, and strategic vision.
