Make an impact at Serco

As Commercial Business Partner, you’ll be the senior finance and commercial partner to a portfolio of contact centre contracts within Serco’s Community business, taking ownership of their commercial and financial performance and supporting sustainable, profitable outcomes. Working closely with Contract Managers and senior leaders, you’ll understand the key financial and commercial drivers of your contracts, identify risks and opportunities, and develop practical solutions that deliver tangible outcomes.

As a Commercial Business Partner, you’ll make a positive impact by:

• Taking ownership of the commercial and financial performance of your assigned contracts
• Partnering with operational leaders to identify opportunities, manage risk and improve profitability
• Leading commercial analysis, pricing, financial modelling and scenario analysis
• Developing commercial strategies for contract variations, growth opportunities, efficiency initiatives, claims and disputes
• Translating contractual obligations and financial analysis into clear, practical commercial advice
• Leading and supporting customer negotiations to achieve commercially sound outcomes
• Influencing and constructively challenging senior stakeholders across the business
• Providing commercial oversight and direction to Finance Business Partners supporting your contracts

You could be a great fit if you have:

• A degree in Accounting and a professional qualification such as CA, CPA or equivalent
• Significant experience in a senior finance, commercial finance or commercial role supporting large or complex contracts
• Strong financial acumen, analytical capability and commercial judgement
• Experience in financial modelling, pricing and interpreting contractual requirements
• Strong influencing and negotiation skills, with the confidence to challenge senior leaders and customers
• A track record of identifying commercial issues and opportunities and driving them through to resolution
• The ability to simplify complex issues and provide clear, practical advice
• A proactive, commercially minded and results-focused approach

Experience in government services, BPO or another complex contracted-services environment would be highly regarded.
