We’re looking for a strategic and people-centred leader to guide the delivery of end-to-end Facilities Management services across our Justice contracts in the Asia Pacific region. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for hard and soft services including infrastructure, asset management, cleaning, catering, waste, and grounds maintenance. You’ll collaborate across a matrix structure and lead initiatives that drive innovation, sustainability, and safety across all our prison sites.

As the General Manager of Facilities Management in the Justice team, you’ll make a positive impact by:

  • Leading and inspiring multi-disciplinary FM teams through a matrix model
  • Managing national FM operations including heritage asset oversight
  • Ensuring compliance with safety, HACCP, ISO 55001, and sustainability standards
  • Supporting growth through mobilisation, contract transitions and service innovation
  • Driving financial performance and delivering against strategic KPIs
  • Strengthening partnerships with internal and external stakeholders across Government and PPP models

Serco is a place for you

To be successful in this role you’ll have:

  • At least 10 years’ experience in senior facilities or operational leadership roles
  • Extensive experience in Hard & Soft Facilities Management in a complex high critical infrastructure environment
  • Tertiary qualifications in Facilities Management, Engineering or related fields
  • Budget management experience within complex organisations
  • HACCP or food safety certification and understanding of ISO frameworks
  • Ability to travel frequently across Australia and New Zealand
  • Experience within a PPP, custodial or secure infrastructures, or government (desirable)
