As Risk & Assurance Manager, you’ll support the Head of Risk and Assurance in embedding an integrated Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) approach across our Asia Pacific division. You’ll help drive a culture of awareness, accountability, and continuous improvement in risk, compliance, quality, and business continuity.
Working closely with Legal, Compliance, Ethics, Insurance and operational leaders, you’ll ensure risk and assurance practices are robust, aligned, and fit for purpose — enabling Serco to operate with confidence and integrity while delivering essential services.
As a Risk & Assurance Manager, you’ll make a positive impact by:
- Leading compliance assurance activities, including scoping, fieldwork and reporting
- Supporting risk identification, assessment and mitigation across divisional and contract environments
- Conducting internal assurance reviews and coordinating external reviews and certifications
- Driving business continuity planning and crisis management preparedness
- Maintaining and improving quality management systems and ISO accreditations
- Providing clear, actionable reporting and insights to senior leaders
- Coaching and guiding stakeholders on risk governance and compliance frameworks
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across systems and processes

The ideal person will be able to:
- Translate complex audit, risk and assurance concepts into clear, practical guidance for frontline teams and for non-technical audiences
- Build trusted relationships and strong rapport across first-line stakeholders
- Be confident influencing and coaching operational leaders to embed better risk practices and uplift risk maturity across diverse teams
- Create clarity and confidence in environments that may feel compliance-heavy or technical
To be successful in this role you’ll have:
- Extensive experience (10+ years) in risk, assurance, audit or compliance roles
- Strong knowledge of risk management frameworks, regulatory compliance and assurance methodologies
- Experience partnering with senior stakeholders in complex, multi-layered organisations
- Tertiary qualifications in risk, finance or related discipline
- Professional certifications such as CIA, CRMA, CA, CPA, CCEP, CISM, CRISC or CISA (highly regarded)
