Make an impact at Serco
As a Senior Security Specialist (Cyber & Physical), you’ll play a critical role in protecting Serco’s people, assets, and digital environments across the ASPAC region. Reporting to the Director, Cyber Security & Risk, you’ll operate across cyber security operations and physical security platforms, supporting threat detection, incident response, vulnerability remediation, and compliance activities.
This is a hands-on, senior role where you’ll work across SIEM, endpoint protection, cloud security, access control, and CCTV platforms — partnering closely with GSOC, ICT teams, and business stakeholders to respond to incidents, uplift security maturity, and embed security-by-design principles across the organization.
As a Senior Security Specialist, you’ll make a positive impact by:
- Monitoring, analyzing, and responding to cyber and physical security alerts as well as L2 and L3 incident responses.
- Conducting root cause analysis and post-incident reviews for cyber events and physical alarms
- Administering and maintaining Gallagher Command Centre and CCTV systems
- Ensure compliance with ISO27001, PSPF, DISP and security policies
- Develop security patterns, playbooks and documentation
- Produce security reports, trend analysis and recommendations
- Participate in on-call roster duties

Technical Skills & Experience
- Experience across cyber security operations and physical security systems
- Hands-on expertise with Gallagher Command Centre and CCTV platforms
- Experience working with SIEM, firewalls, EDR/XDR, and vulnerability management tools
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365 Security & Compliance and Azure cloud security
- Understanding of access control principles, security zoning, and risk mitigation
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Cybersecurity, IT, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, GCIH, GCFA, CEH, or Microsoft Security certifications (highly regarded).
