On behalf of our client FRONTEX, we are currently searching for an experienced and dynamic Geographic Information GIS Engineer who will work as a consultant from FRONTEX’s HQ, with location in Warsaw, Poland.

Your Mission
In this role, you will apply your expertise in geospatial and geo-intelligence to transform complex data into clear, actionable insight. At Frontex, you will prepare cartographic products and develop strategic and operational maps that support informed decision-making. You will design and refine automated map production workflows using tools such as Python or Model Builder, improving efficiency and consistency. By collecting, processing, and validating geospatial data from operational activities, you will ensure accuracy and reliability. You will integrate and analyse information from open sources, Frontex activities, and commercial datasets, turning diverse inputs into high-quality intelligence products. Throughout your work, you will remain aligned with operational objectives, proactively identifying and reporting any risks that may affect mission success.
What You Bring to the Mission
To succeed in this role, you will bring strong consultancy expertise in geospatial and geo-intelligence, enabling you to manage the full lifecycle of data, from collection and preparation to integration, analysis, interpretation, and dissemination. At Frontex, you will support FUSION DGA by preparing high-quality cartographic products and developing strategic and operational maps that translate complex information into operational value. You will implement automated map production workflows using tools such as Python or Model Builder, ensuring efficiency and consistency. Through the collection, processing, and validation of geospatial data from operational activities, you will maintain accuracy and reliability. By integrating and analysing inputs from open sources, Frontex activities, and commercial datasets, you will produce clear, actionable intelligence. Throughout the contract, you will remain aligned with operational objectives, actively supporting their achievement and reporting any risks that may impact mission outcomes.
In this role, you will demonstrate advanced expertise in Esri ArcGIS Pro (version 2.8 or higher), using it to create precise, high-impact cartographic products. You will apply powerful analytical capabilities through 3D Analyst, Spatial Analyst, and Network Analyst, transforming complex geospatial data into meaningful operational insight. Leveraging your experience with Python (3.7.8 or higher) and Model Builder, you will design efficient, automated workflows that enhance consistency and productivity. Alongside your technical strengths, you will communicate findings with clarity and confidence, producing high-quality written materials and presentations tailored to a wide range of audiences.
You will bring a solid academic foundation, supported by a minimum Level 6 education, providing the analytical and technical grounding required for this role. With at least three years of relevant professional experience, you will apply your expertise with confidence in complex, operationally driven environments. You will communicate effectively in English at a minimum CEFR B2 level, ensuring clear collaboration within an international context. In addition, you will hold RESTREINT UE /EU RESTRICTED security clearance, enabling you to work responsibly with sensitive information and contribute fully to mission-critical activities at Frontex.
