As a Case Manager at ASCF, you’ll be part of a dedicated team providing end-to-end case management to help reduce the likelihood and seriousness of reoffending. You’ll work closely with individuals in our care to assess needs, build personalised rehabilitation and reintegration plans, and monitor their progress through to release. This full-time role is based in Wiri, Auckland and reports to the Principal Case Manager.
As a Case Manager in the Justice and Rehabilitation team, you’ll make a positive impact by:

Assessing rehabilitation needs using tools like SDAC-21

Developing and reviewing tailored Prisoner Management Plans
-
Delivering motivational interventions and brief support sessions
-
Leading case conferences and coordinating support services
-
Preparing Parole Board reports and attending hearings as required
-
Working with Probation Officers, Reintegration Officers, and external partners

Relevant tertiary qualification in Psychology, Criminology, Social Work, or related area

Experience working with Māori and Pasifika communities
-
Warm, empathetic and professional communication style
-
Strong written, verbal and IT skills, with attention to detail

Understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and related contemporary issues
-
Ability to apply Tikanga Māori and Kaupapa Māori practices in custodial settings
Experience that supports your success might include:

Background in allied health, rehabilitative or human services
-
Experience in case management or reintegration support
-
Working with prisoner groups, particularly Māori, Pasifika or youth
-
Community engagement or stakeholder liaison
-
Exposure to the criminal justice system
To succeed in this role, you’ll need to maintain Ministry of Justice and Police vetting checks, have clearance from the NZ Department of Corrections, and hold an up-to-date COVID-19 vaccination.
