Make an impact at Serco

You’ll play a critical role in the safe and secure operation of the prison. As an Operational Support Grade in the Operations team, you will support the day-to-day functioning of the Auckland South Corrections Facility. You’ll rotate through key operational areas and work collaboratively to maintain safety and security. This is a full-time, rotating roster position, including nights and weekends.

As an Operational Support Grade in the Operations team, you’ll make a positive impact by:

  • Operating control rooms and monitoring security systems
  • Managing vehicle and visitor access at the Gatehouse and the main sallyport
  • Processing all visitor applications from prisoners’ friends and families
  • Processing all incoming visitors who visit their whanau members in prison
  • Processing all incoming and outgoing property
  • Support the site by identifying security concerns and raise work orders for all jobs relating to the security management system
  • Maintaining accurate operational communications throughout the site at all times
  • Supporting reintegration and rehabilitation initiatives
