Make an impact at Serco
As an Advanced Enrolled nurse at Acacia Prison, you will provide health assessment and care to inmates under the direction and supervision of the Clinical Nurse/Registered Nurse. Care is delivered within the Advanced Enrolled Nurse Scope of Practice. This is a full-time, permanent position based in Wooroloo, WA.

As an Advanced Enrolled Nurse, you’ll make a positive impact by:

- Assisting with health assessments, clinical interventions and the management of inmates following approved protocols and under Registered Nurse supervision.

- Administer medications by approved routes, in accordance to legislative requirements under the direct and indirect supervision of a Registered Nurse

- Respond to medical emergencies within scope of practice. 

- Liaise with Registered Nurses on patient care, maintain accurate clinical records and prepare reports as required. 

- Contribute to staff induction, student supervision, clinical reviews and other quality improvement activities.

To be successful in this role, you’ll have:

- Current registration as an Advanced Enrolled Nurse (Division 2) with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Minimum of 1 year full time post graduate experience (or part-time equivalent) 
- Experience in primary health, rural health or emergency nursing (desirable) 
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Able to work independently and collaboratively within a multidiscilplinary team with focus on delivering safe, effective and high quality care
