As a Clinical Nurse Educator at Acacia Prison, you’ll assume responsibility for the coordination and delivery of clinical education to staff and students. This is a full-time, permanent role based in Wooroloo, WA.
As a Clinical Nurse Educator, you’ll make a positive impact by:
- Developing and implementing comprehensive training plans including induction packages, training modules, competency checklists and audit preparation.
- Coordinate and deliver ongoing education and professional development for staff, graduate nurses, and students, ensuring their skills and knowledge are continuously updated and aligned with best practices
- Conduct needs assessments to identify educational gaps and develop targeted learning modules that address specific requirements for both clinical and non-clinical staff
- Evaluate the effectiveness of education and training initiatives through feedback, assessments, and performance outcomes to ensure high-quality learning experiences and improved staff competency
- Facilitate partnerships and networking opportunities with external organisations, training providers, and educational facilities to enhance learning resources and support the development of staff and students

To be successful in this role you’ll have:
- Current registration as a Division 1 Registered Nurse with AHPRA
- Cert IV in Training and Education and/or post graduate degree in an education related discipline(evidence of working towards same may be considered)
- Evidence of post graduate degree relevant to teaching, learning or management (desirable)
- Highly effective communication skills both oral and written, adapting to diverse stakeholders
- Proficiency in utilising technology and innovative methods to enhance clinical teaching and learning outcomes
