As a Custodial Officer at Acacia Prison, you’ll play a vital role in the supervision, care, rehabilitation, and reintegration of inmates. You’ll help create a safe and respectful environment where individuals are supported to make positive life changes. This full-time, permanent role is based in Wooroloo, WA, offering both purpose and stability in your career.
As a Custodial Officer at Acacia Prison, you’ll make a positive impact by:

Ensuring safety and security through effective supervision and dynamic security practices

Supporting rehabilitation and reintegration by encouraging engagement in education and work programs

Conducting searches, responding to incidents, and preparing accurate reports
-
Building positive relationships with inmates and staff based on respect and fairness

Promoting cultural awareness and inclusion across the facility

Maintaining a safe and secure workplace by following health and safety protocols

A Certificate III in Correctional Practice, or willingness to obtain it within the first year (full training provided)

Physical fitness to meet the role’s requirements, including control and restraint training

A valid driver’s licence
