As an Education Facilitator – Art at Wooroloo Prison, you’ll play a vital role in supporting the rehabilitation and reintegration of prisoners through education. You’ll deliver engaging, accredited learning experiences that develop literacy, numeracy, and art-based skills — helping learners build confidence, creativity, and future employment opportunities. Working collaboratively within the Education and Training team, you’ll foster a motivational and inclusive learning environment.
As an Education Facilitator – Art in the Education and Training team, you’ll make a positive impact by:

Facilitating accredited literacy and numeracy programs in a culturally sensitive way

Delivering and supporting art education programs from entry to university level
-
Designing, planning, and evaluating engaging education programs for students
-
Supporting the delivery of the prison’s music program where required
-
Managing educational resources and maintaining RTO compliance standards
-
Creating a positive, secure, and motivating classroom environment

Experience teaching literacy and numeracy in diverse learning environments

Knowledge of art concepts and a practical art skill set

A tertiary teaching qualification and RTO-compliant training credentials (or willingness to obtain within six months)

Excellent communication skills and confidence working with a wide range of learners

The ability to adapt, collaborate, and innovate in a dynamic environment

Strong organisational and digital skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office
