Make an impact at Serco

This role plays an important part in keeping Acacia Prison running safely and smoothly. As part of the Justice and Immigration team, you’ll manage stock movements and inventory accuracy while supporting daily operational needs. You’ll also contribute to rehabilitation outcomes by supervising prisoners during structured work activities. Your work will directly support safe environments for staff, visitors and those in our care.

As a Store Person in the Supply Chain team, you’ll make a positive impact by:

  • Managing inward and outward stock movements across the site

  • Coordinating storage, rotation and transfer of goods

  • Maintaining accurate inventory records and documentation

  • Supporting stock takes and routine warehouse activities

  • Supervising prisoners during scheduled work hours

  • Maintaining safety, hygiene and security within the store

You could be a great fit if you have:

  • Experience in stores, warehousing or inventory control

  • A current forklift licence and full driver’s licence

  • Confidence using computer systems, including Excel and Outlook

  • A strong awareness of workplace health and safety

  • The ability to work respectfully in a diverse environment
