Ready to impact a better future?

As a Chef De Partie at the UK Resilience Academy, you’ll play a vital role in delivering high-quality catering services, ensuring every meal meets the highest standards while supporting a positive experience for all guests and colleagues.

In this role, your work has real purpose – from maintaining exceptional food quality to contributing to a safe, welcoming environment where people can focus on learning, collaboration and resilience. You’ll be part of a team that takes pride in creating impactful solutions through food, helping to deliver a positive impact on communities and those we serve every day.

What you’ll do as a Chef De Partie

You’ll be entrusted to:

  • Support the day-to-day operation of the kitchen, ensuring food is prepared, cooked and presented to the highest standards
  • Maintain consistent food quality and portion control across all services, both on-site and external
  • Assist with menu development, bringing ideas that support innovation and variety
  • Ensure strict compliance with food hygiene, health and safety, and cleanliness standards at all times
  • Manage stock levels, support ordering processes, and minimise food waste wherever possible
  • Work closely with kitchen and front-of-house teams to deliver a seamless and high-quality dining experience

Does this sound like you?

You’ll be a great fit for this role if you have:

  • Strong culinary skills and a passion for high-quality food preparation
  • An Intermediate Food Hygiene certificate (or equivalent)
  • Good organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure
  • A team-focused approach, with strong communication skills
  • Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays

Vetting and checks:
This role requires Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance, which involves verifying your identity, employment history, nationality, and criminal record to meet government security standards. In addition, depending on the nature of the role, you may need to obtain formal Security Clearance (such as CTC or SC), which includes more detailed background checks on employment, criminal record, and financial history to ensure suitability for working in secure environments. Please note that UK residency requirements may apply for certain levels of clearance. You will also complete an Occupational Health Questionnaire so we can identify and provide any support you may need to undertake the role effectively.
