About Pearce
RAAF Base Pearce is the main Air Force base in WA and is located at Bullsbrook, 35kms North of Perth. It is one of the busiest RAAF bases in the country in terms of total aircraft movements and its primary function is pilot training. Pearce Health Centre, upgraded in 2021, provides primary medical, aviation medicine, nursing, mental health, physiotherapy, dental and pharmaceutical services. Standard operating hours are generally 0730-1600 Monday – Thursday depending on role requirements, half day 7:30 – 13:30 Friday.
This role is primarily Monday to Friday (day shift) within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
What you’ll do

Deliver clinical dental services to Defence members

Provide a full range of general dental care including examinations, diagnosis, treatment planning and preventative care

Undertake procedures such as restorations, extractions, root canal treatments, periodontal care and minor oral surgery

Promote and maintain oral health through patient education, preventative strategies and ongoing care

Use diagnostic tools including dental imaging to support clinical decision-making and treatment planning

Maintain accurate clinical records using Defence eHealth systems and ensure compliance with governance frameworks

Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team to support optimal patient outcomes
What you bring
-
Current unconditional and unrestricted registration as a Dentist with AHPRA
-
Minimum two years’ full-time (or equivalent) post graduate clinical experience, with recent practice within the last five years

Strong clinical capability across a broad range of general dentistry procedures

Current First Aid (HLTAID011) and CPR (HLTAID009) certification
-
Australian Citizenship required for baseline security clearance
-
Commitment to CPD and ethical, patient-centred care
